Exhibition

KarteCoHousing Cultures Exhibition illustrates the great diversity of European projects: for example, a multigenerational barrier-free cooperative in a former school building in Berlin, collective housing for the second half of life in Stockholm or a passive house built by and for immigrants in Brussels.
If you are interested in having CoHousing Exhibition at your event, please contact us at institute(at)id22.net and we will get back to you with more information.

CoHousing Cultures Exhibition in Brussels

The European Economic and Social Committee, in cooperation with Id22: Institute for Creative Sustainability and the Berlin Senate’s Department for Urban Development and the Environment, was holding an exhibition on ‘CoHousing Cultures’. In the context of the European Year of ‘Active Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity’ this exhibition presents a very diverse range of initiatives and projects which aim to find new forms of housing. CoHousing Cultures are emerging internationally, reflecting the variety of regional traditions, languages and possibilities. In a number of European cities alternative models for living together have been created, expressing both people’s interest in self-organisation, collaboration and cooperation and the need for ecological, affordable and socially designed homes. The passionate commitment of increasing numbers of people in the various communities and cities is bringing life and energy to this unique movement.
